Relationship counseling

Haptotherapy focusses on feeling and making a connection. When working on relationship problems, we try to restore the ability to connect in a sincere and loving manner. We do this by improving our engagements with our own feelings and needs.

Any relationship you have (work, love, family, friends) can be under pressure. Feeling irritated, arguments, coping with a trauma or loss, a new family situation or a different family structure.

Most of the time you can handle these situations yourself, but sometimes this seems impossible. You are afraid to express yourself and no longer feel safe which often leads to a feeling of distance between both parties. Through experiential exercises, the issues will become tangible and perceptible.

I make both parties aware of which behaviour and perceptions disturb the relationship. We set a process of change in motion, whereby the attention can be focussed on everyone’s possibilities to handle themselves and their partner differently.

We aim to create a new feeling of openness and safety. This process will get the relationship moving and will ensure you will find each other again.
